Denny, you need one of those wifi thermostats you can control from your phone!

I'll be inside, making sure the wood stove is filled to capacity. Tomorrow is the first winter league trap shoot. They haven't fired more than two rounds of trap out there in the past week. Should be interesting in the morning, when it will be around 5 degrees and windy? They'll have the club house heat cranked up to about 80 degrees again. Last winter they did that and never turned the thermo back to 55 when they left. Four or five days later the tank ran dry, because no one had remembered to have it refilled. That's now my job. Glad ta hear ya finally got a real job...........now for the hair cut........

This so called cold to me is a joke.I grew up in the 70,s farmin and huntin and roust-a-boutin and let me tell ya that was cold then.Back then they said we were in for the next ice age.In all honestly I ain,t dressin very heavy at all. This ain't cold. Cold is a state of mind. Grew up in the 70's loved those winters.

Going to be a little tougher today. Not as windy. Was able to sneak up on them yesterday. The wind hid the crunch of the snow.

Yeah....much more pleasant out there with no wind. Just just back from my daily 5 mile run....really not all that bad out there. Yesterday....the wind made it a lil tougher.

Just got back in. Hunted from daylight till 2:30 and saw three does. Caught them feeding on a sunny south slope but couldn't get close enough for a shot. Wind was brutal on the tops.

I just might bring my good ole pick-um-up truck and hook a log chain on your ride and spin you around and send you back to the suburbs. stirthepot So if you hear pipes blarin and a host of bright lights you better take cover cause I,m comin after you. Heard some pipes blaring a few times when I was out and about. I take it I am in your neck of the woods?

I hunted for about four hours mid day. I still hunt the whole time and it wasn't bad at all when I was out of the wind. Only saw three deer. A doe and her fawns looked me over from a grape thicket about fifty yards away. There was no clear path for a round ball so I didn't risk a shot. Eventually they got nervous enough to trot away.

I broke down and bought my Flinter lic on Wednesday because my hand got too cold to hold my bow while still hunting. Things may change this coming week.

I had a coyote go by me at 5 yards while I was relieving my bladder and set my rifle against a tree when I went to where my watch was first drive of the am. He got around and soon as he got down game over. I've gotta remember an old friends words of wisdom and tie a string on my ding a long to make it easier to get out of all the alternating layers in its shriveled up cold state...lol
