All I did was a quick run with the snowblower over the driveway and with the wind......it's just to cold today for me. Tomorrow should be better?

I spent the past hour or so bringing firewood and coal up to the porch so Ms. Doris can stay warm. Damned near froze my fingers off. I'm starting to think heating oil might be a bargain.

I spent the day getting Things loaded in the Motorhome, and various chores associated with that. Will most likely hunt the next few days. Friday looks like a high of 4 deg, with winds between 20 and 30 mph up here. JJ wants me to hunt that day, just so I get good and frozen before I head South............ I'm thinking it will be a good day to finish loading MH, as it is in a heated garage........ Saturday doesn't look much better, so I may end up doing mechanic work that day......putting a rear end in a recliner

We will be out Saturday and at least part of Sunday for Ohio's late Muzzleloader season. Looks like Saturday is going to be really cold.

I have two guys who say they plan on going with me Saturday. If history repeats itself, both will bail on me by Friday. Its like pulling teeth to get folks to go hunting these days.

Like I told you in a post on another thread. Once you hit a certain age, you should probably be smart enough to not listen to a dog.

I got up at 4:30 today.....my legs given me to much crap to sleep.....then I got my thermal's on, my cammo, etc. Sat down to have a coffee and watch the news.....saw the weather report.....stuck myself outside and decided it was far to cold to load up the cart.....drive out....unload the cart and freeze. I stayed in a warm place and loaded more .223 ammo.

Like I told you in a post on another thread. Once you hit a certain age, you should probably be smart enough to not listen to a dog. I'm now sure which of us is older, me or the dog. He is ten years old. What is that in dog years? Maybe he is, and is smarter than I am?

Anyway, it is all the way up to 21 here in beautiful and balmy downtown Saint Thomas, semi-tropical though it be.
And just think how cold it would be if it weren't for global warming. Just boggles the mind, doesn't it.

We hunted today, and we got another doe. Some of the group passed on some smaller bucks as well. Going to go out and chase them around again tomorrow. That will be my last day of the season, as I HAVE to go south ......way south. And before you all remind me of how cold it is in Fla right now, I am heading to Marco Island/Naples, where it will be high 70s on the day I arrive. If it cools down there, it will be in the 60's........not 30 below wind chills.......... As of next week the only chill factor I will deal with is the slice of lime in my beer.....
