Ok so its that you just like to whine? Squirrels, turkeys, Sundays, blackguns, its never ending, you whine about every thing. We have it made yet there's always that incessant whining, I hope one day you realize how good we have it before it to late. Changes do have effects, you might refuse to admit that, but they do, nothings free.
Not all change is necessary or good, my self I'm not one thats going to cry over milk that has not been spilled, and you shouldn't either.

I like to remind myself of all the "whiners" that got us "stuff" in the past.
If it weren't for "whiners", there would be no archery season, flintlock season, no winter small game season, no spring gobbler season, and on and on.....
It takes people that don't sit there and ACCEPT what or government GIVES us, it take people to demand that our government get out of the way.
I'm tired of always worrying about the anti's. Its been used time and time again as to why we should not ask for things. We MIGHT upset them!
Well, it's time hunters stop shaking in fear in the corner.

I ain't skeerd of any thing, I look at every thing as an opportunity, some of you look for some thing you can't do when the whole worlds at your beck and call, no wonder so many people are on antidepressants.

PA has some of the best deer, turkey and bear hunting in the nation. Have said it many times when others whine about our poor hunting. I would not push anything that I feel would harm that just for personal reasons. In the case of semi auto, there is plenty of evidence supporting their expansion for hunting. Why do you whine so much about politics? Life is too short!

First I don't whine.
Second, Whats good in politics?
We have world class hunting and fishing, yet some of you act like others some how control your ability to enjoy it.
I don't, I enjoy every day PA has to offer.

Maybe its your lack of reading comprehension that contributes to your anguish, I have trouble finding time enough to experience what we have before us, the opportunity is limitless and to search out limitation in such a diverse world I find ludicrous. I like to limit my diversions to whether I'm going trout fishing or taking the boat out for crappies, I'm sure you would have to factor in gas prices and the availability of worms before you committed to such activity. Oh the humanity of it all!

You already admitted they are legal where you hunt yet you don't use them, astounding! Shocked are you? Wasn't it you who said I was creating a smoke screen so I could hunt deer with a semi, lol. Your theories are in some serious need of some glue. They are crumbling before our eyes.

I'm thinking Roger Miller had a few of you in mind while singing this song.

This is the stuff that makes me smile, on Sunday mornings, during the early squirrel season when I'm out of 7.2 x 65 ammo and its to hot to fish.

I agree Jim, not needed. Let all the Rambo types go shoot up the local gun ranges but stay out of the hunting woods. Better yet buy an X-box or maybe enlist in our armed forces. Totally agree FT!!

I would like all of the "Rambo types" to stay out of the woods as well. But I really don't think the three of them that also hunt will bother us much. Is it the gun of the person behind the gun? It seems whenever someone brings up semis and hunting a few resort to this tired arguement that it is the gun that causes the poor judgement, therefor no one should be allowed to use them. But, when the discussion is self protection, the same folks say it is the person behind the gun and the few bad apples shouldn't restrict our rights. Interesting position that most of those that take, can't explain the flip flop.

I've always been a bit leary of those that use lever actions or 760 Jammasters when deer hunting. If we allow those folks in the woods, not much difference between them and the semi's, IMO.

Hey, I used to use a Rem pump once upon a time. Of course it was a newer 7600 so maybe that is better. In my opinion there isn't any difference between a pump and semi especially with a gun that has some recoil as it takes longer to get back on target than it dies to work the action.

Cspot, my disdain for the 760 or 7600 Jammaster stems from an incident in 1981. I got in the middle of a drive. So, I moved out and onto a logging trail so I would be in plain sight.
One of the standers, about 75 yds up from me on the trail, and saw me in plain view, opened up on a spiker, with his Jammaster, as it crossed the trail BETWEEN us! He fired all five shots at a running deer, IN MY DIRECTION.
I hit the deck.
So, no matter what weapon that Bozo would have had, that deer was more important than my life.
Its not the gun, like RC said, it's the man behind it.
Didn't rifle deer hunt for the next 2 years after that incident and was when I decided to get back into archery hunting.

Where I hunted growing up a local farmer had a large box stand built up in a cut off tree in the corner of his field. Generally their were at least 3-4 people in it, if a deer started out across the field, the shooting didn't stop till the deer went down or the guns are emptied. If I'd be hunting in the woods opposite them, once the shooting commenced I'd take cover behind a large tree until it quit. I don't think it really would've made much of a difference if they had been using semi's, they could sling a good bit of lead with manually operated guns. A careless hunter is a careless hunter, don't blame the gun they choose to use.
I love how everything gets turned into a back door way to change deer hunting - even though this bill is just for predator and varmint hunting. I'll say it again, I'd just like to be able to hunt groundhogs (legally) on Sunday, but the discussion always is focused on deer.

Blaming the gun is exactly why we are losing ground in this country. Thing is, most hunters blame the person when the discussion is gun rights. Turn the discussion to hunting, and all of a sudden, it is the gun for some hunters.

Loosing Ground? Gun sales are skyrocketing, seasons expanding, bullets are being hoarded by the masses, what besides our common sense are we loosing? Ya don't watch the news much do ya...... Why have gun and bullet sales skyrocketed? "Common sense" says if you say it is the person and not the gun when the discussion is gun rights, that you would also say it is the person and not the gun when the discussion is hunting with them.

You're trying to defend the undefendable, black guns are meant to kill people, period. There is no need or Ben IFT to hunters using them. They will no add to our ranks instead they will become another division .
And certainly by showing that we already have idiots amongst us this addition seems to show that your support growth in their ranks.
And by saying its not about deer you guarantee that it becomes about nothing but deer.
