Was gonna hit it this afternoon but we have a light drizzle here as this front finishes swinging through. Change your tampon and get out there. I did but still couldn't muster up the will to get out there. Would rather shoot one with the flintlock and I really don't need any more meat.

Went out Friday afternoon for an evening archery hunt. I must be getting soft in my old age. Had a doe and her little one come past at 3:30. She is an old doe that is missing her right rear leg just below the ham. Been seeing her for a few years now. Tough old girl. Just couldn't bring myself to shoot her.

Did an afternoon archery sit in the snow to switch it up from my morning flintlock fiasco. Had 2 within 2 yards but they were both fawns so they got a pass. It was coming down good. Roads were horrible coming home.

She will provide many more doe and buck every year from now on.

Did a morning sit before the snow arrives. Didn't see any. Changed out of my hunting clothes and decided to take a walk to scout and found where the deer are. The big housing plan bout a half mile from where I am hunting. Lots of deer and lots of birdfeeders and corn cobs.

Ok, would that be hunting over bait! Lol If I were hunting there, probably be interpreted that way. You know, they want deer killed around the big cities, but only allow baiting around Philly. They should legalize it in Allegheny County as well. The deer are all in the housing plans this time of the year, especially. Talked to several commissioners about this. They understand but the change in regulation has yet to occur.

All houses......I think they have more deer in there than people. Honest!!!

Did a 4 hour sit this afternoon. Brrrr.... it was cold. Thought it was gonna happen but it didn't. Had 5 doe at 40 yards for quite some time but they never offered me a shot. They were feeding in the thick but I could never find a path to get an arrow through. Back at it tomorrow for the last hurrah!
