Dutch,I put the pic in my tablet, then go to edit. I crop down the edges to get a smaller pic. The image enlarges as you crop it down. I'll try it Did you figure out how to resize or shrink pictures? Here is one I used Windows photo to shrink from 1.99MB to 598KB. Use the resize function. Attachment Deleted

Report from Camp Rip-N-Tear: 9:55 AM I got a text message from Larry. He had a doe down, so since both of us are old farts, this old fart ended his morning hunt and took the deer cart out to where Larry was hunting. We loaded his doe on the cart, which does make getting a deer out of the woods a whole lot easier, and had it back in camp by 11:00. We hung it on our skinning gantry and by noon we had it in the cooler with a couple of bags of ice on it. My morning was less eventful. About 7:45 a large eight-point went past me. Too far for a shot. This was the eight we are calling "Scraggle." He has a bent G2 tine. No question as to whether or not I would fill a tag with him. I sure would. Scraggle is the one in the center of the photo facing away from the camera. Larry was done for the day. I went out that evening and saw a small herd of six does and fawns. One would have been an easy shot, but I didn't take it. We have a bumper crop of acorns this year. The white oak trees are doing the best, which is really good news if you are an animal that eats acorns.

Lots of action this morning. Passed up two 8 points, had a 3 point stroll past, and seen four does. Almost got a whack at one of the does but it wasnt meant to be.
Afternoon sit was slow. Two fawns.

Came to camp. My brother brought his crossbow. I hope he sits in my ladder stand by the apple tree tomorrow night. I swear, every buck on the mountain goes down past that tree, apples or not. Just a matter of time until we sit there long enough.
My pnuemonia still has me coughing. No point in going out for me.

I hunted a stand that I hunted last Friday evening. I got pretty wet from all the rain early and only saw two does pass through about 50 yards out. As I walked back home I found six scrapes that weren't there a week ago. The cold weather of the past two days seems to have picked up the activity. Things look like they are finally heating up as the temps are finally dropping.

I killed a second doe saturday evening.Jordan had a slammer come by at 30 yards but I won't let him shoot past 20 with a bow. He's still worked up about it and it wouldn't surprise me to see him dust off the crossbow lol.

Columbus Weekend was the first of several Grandpaps Weekends for us, where we host a few old friends and their grandkids for a long weekend. Always a great time, but to busy this year with deer dressing duties. These kids went 5 for 6 with 2G doe tags this year, One missed buck, no missed doe, and some great eats.

Passed up the same two 8 points this morning that I passed last Saturday. Seen three does that were too far and 6 gobblers. NO hunting this evening. High winds and rain here with this front coming through.

Early muzzy/doe season was interesting. Dave, Larry and I made the call to arms. Larry did not see a deer Wednesday through Saturday. Dave only saw two does, and did not shoot as he was hunting bucks. I had a rifle out and was looking to put a doe in the freezer, but wouldn't you know it, the only deer I saw were bucks. One four point and three legal ones, all nice and healthy looking. Had I been carrying the crossbow, one of the eight points would have been history, but then, we do call it hunting, not shopping, don't we. An unsuccessful trip to camp beats a great week at work.
