I'll have to try that when I send another email requesting the use of a 50 cal or greater flintlock pistol to be allowed in special reg areas.

Well. Did an all day hunt with the flintlock today. For my efforts I saw two small bucks at 40 yards and a doe that was too far.

I couldn't decide what to wear today so I just went in a T-shirt, shorts and sockless croks. Isn't this wonderful deer hunting weather! I haven't made it out this year yet and I don't think I've missed much.
Found out about a month and a half ago that my oldest son has a medical condition that he isn't getting proper blood flow to his hip joints. His right hip deteriorated to the point that he needed a hip replacement at the young age of 41. Had the operation Tuesday a week ago and he's doing fine. He's upset that I'm using my favorite deer season to take care of him. I told him he's my son and I'd see that he got to therapy so that's what I've been doing. He's not going through this alone. His therapy sessions are in the morning next week so With any luck I'll get out in the afternoons. Sure hope the weather cools down.

Had some stuff to do today so I couldn't get out with the flinter. But I was coming home and in Monroeville when this buck ran in front of me. The buck stopped once on the other side of the road about 30 yards up in the woods.
He was at least an 8 pt if no bigger. His G3 tines had to be 8"-9" tall!! I'm guessing he was well over 200-lbs.
The beast are still out there!!

Plentya time left till 1/17 to smoke the beast Dave!! Well Loggy....where this beast was i'm not sure of who owns the land. Monroeville has some pretty left wing liberals for their Government. A long time ago Monroeville banned hunting. Of course, that was taken to court and overturned as local's can't pass laws that are contrary to State laws. But.....(always a but) I do know where a 10 point resides!! And this BEAST showed up behind my house!! He's for sure a fighter!! And that rack.......what can you say??!!

I got to my hunting spot after work today and as I approached the woodlot I busted a coyote out of it. I knew my hunt was over right then. But I sat there anyway

He was running across the open field at about a hundred yards. With a centerfire I could've dumped him but with a flintlock I had no hope

Fairly certain all the mods knew who Hammer47 was long before the current ban. I mean, everybody referred to him as John. lol
Don't know what he said or did, as I just saw that myself yesterday. But, he musta pooped the ol' bed yet again somehow ?

Dave, a "slow walk" isn't quite a "dead run".
