She or he, was sitting on the nest a little different last night just before dark. The back of the bird was facing the camera and the tail feathers were ruffled up more than I have seen them before. This morning the bird is facing the camera again. But, I bet it's getting close.

The parent seems to be piling straw closer into the eggs, like making a nest within a nest?

One nice thing about the Pittsburgh eagle cam, it has infrared. Just checked it, looks like freezing rain. :/

Just checked the live stream. The male must be sitting on the nest now. Typical male too. Can't pick up nothing or run the damn vaccum. Fish parts along with blood and gutts everywhere! Tsk...tsk...tsk!

Just tuned in a few minutes ago to see the eaglets in Hanover being fed. I then went to the eagle watch at MCTC in West Virginia to see both parents exchanging positions and saw those two eaglets for the first time. Both pair of eaglets look like they're doing well. The nest in WV had four fish and the back end of a rabbit in the pantry. They're being fed well!

Yea, I can believe that. I saw Landon's teacher the other day and she couldn't believe the Hanover site. They started watching them about three weeks ago and everyone was very excited to see the eaglets. She said she tunes them in on the big screen every day at lunch. She returns from lunch to see some of the kids sitting quite orderly watching the eagles. It's a wonderful teaching aid for this time of year.

Am I the only one not thrilled about this? Just another predator that will be abundant one day and you won't be able to touch it.

LOL I saw one fly over me in Lancaster yesterday. Pretty cool. Had one fly over on the way to Harrisburg last week. Have them at camp all the time. BTW, on the way to Harrisburg, there were 3 roadkilled redtailed hawks.

BTW, according to the news, over 1 million people checked in on those birds the other day when the second one hatched.
People from 180 nations watched these birds at one time or another.
