You love the ammo because you use that pipsqueak 6.5 Swede. Of course you don't have pressure problems with a Mauser cartridge. They're loaded so low from the factory that even Hornady's juiced up stuff isn't pushing any limits. That's why I can't stand Mauser cartridges, You can't get decent factory ammo and it's hard to find decent load data in manuals. As far as I'm concerned the 6.5 Swede, 7X57, and 8X57 could disappear off the face of the planet tomorrow and I'd never miss them. The difference between you and I is I'm something of a gun crank and frequent hardcore shooting forums. You don't.

You and Loggy have a habit of loving to push my buttons. You mess with the Bull, you get the horns.

I can take the horns just fine Moose, never had any problem with that...just don't want to have to put on my hip boots with all the "straw through the cow" you're throw'n around. Bottom line: You're simply wrong in regard to some of your so called "gun knowledge".

Yes, Muab. You've already enlightened me as to how wrong I was about .30 180 grains and deer by sharing all your "experience" you've had with that combo. I see you also know all about Hornady Superformance just because you're a bright guy. Stuff it. I'll have to see if this site has the ignore option.

Can't believe he got under ur skin least based upon my view!! Oh well...bak to the Threads topic. I have never seen any reports whutsoever that Hornady's Superformance Factory Ammo has ever been reported to have any safety issues. I have run hundreds of rounds through a Rem 700 06 plus a CZ 550FS spanning the last few years without any problems. I also have buds who collectively have shot thousands of rounds of Hornady Factory Superformance ammo without incident.

I'm not having any trouble finding problems with Superformance ammo online. But rest easy, Muab Dib knows it's safe just because he knows (and he's a good guesser)! And Loggy has never had a problem with it so nobody else should have had one either! FTR I don't care if Loggy uses it and likes it. That's fine. But when this stuff starts getting recommended to others that's when I have to speak up.

Product Information
Shop more Hornady products SUPERFORMANCE ammunition is loaded with proprietary propellants that increase the velocity ratings up to 200 feet per second compared to other popular brands. Because there is no increase in pressure, regardless of the caliber, there is no increase in felt recoil but there IS an increase in efficiency and high speed performance. From sub-zero arctic temperatures to almost unbearable desert heat, SUPERFORMANCE ammunition can withstand any hunting condition.
Obviously not true or a lot of people are liars!

The above statement is why I disagreed with 'ya Moose. Had nothing to do with the new and exciting "super" factory loads. 'Ya got ticked-off with me for the wrong reason! But I bet I know why you're really ticked...

Mike...you really are reading toooo many forums!! Plus...when one starts believing everything on these Forums...better get urself a glass bulletproof bubble buried about 100 feet under the earth and craw inside to finish out your final tenure here!! LOL I read some & most reviews are really positive such as the one you so graciously offered up from Cabelas whereby approx 80% of responders posted positive reports on their use of Hornady's Superformance ammo. Same thing happened some years ago when Savage manufactured the 10 ML-II Smokeless Muzzleloader. Reports were out there about some guns letting go and low and behold it was all garbage Forum chiti chat similar to whut you are putting your faith in. I owned 2 of the 10 ML-II's and they were built like tanks and I pushed the limits with the hottest loads imaginable with no problems. If one believes all that posted on these shooting forum...you would be afraid to shoot even a BB gun! My trust is placed in reputable manufacturers who have many, many years of providing safe products to their customers...such as Hornady Manufacturing Company. Bottomline ...Hornady is still currently making some of the most reliable and safe factory ammo out there INCLUDING their Superformance line.

Facts just bounce off some folks heads. 80% positive really isn't that good. When so many people are saying the same thing......I mean blown primers over and over.......There's a good chance where there is smoke there is fire.

I still think the 243 is THE premier PA deer cartridge. Just trying to lighten the mood here.
