What about streams with no trout designation. My son lives in Washington and they closed all recreational fishing. He had been catching his supper most days.

It is now unlawful to fish in stocked trout waters regulated under 58 Pa. Code § 61.1 (relating to Commonwealth inland waters) in any part of this Commonwealth until 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2020. This is a temporary change affecting only the 2020 trout season.

Yeah.....and I was waiting for the rain to subside and water levels to drop and make a trip or two to the DHALO streams. But now that's out. Well....just time to tie more bugs!!

I don't plan on going out Opening Day but I guess for all those PA Counties under the recent Governor's "Stay at Home" restriction Order......such wouldn't be a life sustaining type activity??

A friend called yesterday to rub it in again that he caught a bunch of trout Thursday afternoon on a trip he asked me to go along on. He has his boat out of winter storage and wants to go for crappie one day next week. I wouldn't think that's got any restrictions this year, at least not yet.

I would not be surprised if the 18th gets pushed back to sometime in May if this virus keeps spreading.

I would not be surprised if the 18th gets pushed back to sometime in May if this virus keeps spreading. But wouldn't we be allowed to fish, as long as we keep distance? It seems under these orders we would be allowed? Just not sure

It would make sense if people actually spread apart. But with all this unemployment, every fisherman\woman is gonna be out there trying to keep from going stir crazy at home. So.....shoulder to shoulder will be the norm unless some type of "person per yard" restriction is imposed. However.......I doubt most will follow something like that.
And BTW, just an FYI but a dear friend of my wife's.....the friends F-I-L & M-I-L have both been tested positive with COVID 19. The Mom is recovering at home at this point, but the Dad just was admitted to the hospital with respiratory issues. My prayers to that family. I post this here to remind all that this needs too be taken seriously. Not that most don't take it that way already.

For that reason, Fish and Boat shoulder consider pushing back the date.

"Engaging in outdoor activity, such as walking, hiking or running if they maintain social distancing"
This is part of the order

"Engaging in outdoor activity, such as walking, hiking or running if they maintain social distancing" This is part of the order Yes. The intent of those exceptions are for "exercise".

Engaging in outdoor activity.
Then they go on to suggest a tivities, they don't say those are the only ones.
Maybe it needs clarified, but outdoor activity as long as I maintain distance seems to be ok.

I'm sure the PF & BC will come out with some kind of clarification....soon as many tend to buy their fishing licenses last minute..

A quote from Wolf's press conference yesterday, "you should not leave your home unless absolutely necessary."

Driving to exercise is OK as I read the order. No way can an LEO stop you as they don't know where you are going. I know a guy who continues to fish a DHALO, he says he didn't know. How many will just go by the booklet? This new order has not been in my newspaper nor on the local TV news.
Another local stream gets stocked today and I will watch (exercise). JM Carry on
