this came yesterday in Senator Yaw's Newsletter (March 30)
Trout Fishing Opening Day Set for April 18, Social Distancing Encouraged
Although many large events and activities have been postponed or canceled throughout the country, local anglers can still look forward to the beginning of trout season on April 18. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is operating under modified procedures to ensure all Pennsylvanians can enjoy one of the state’s favorite pastimes. The statewide opening day for trout fishing will be April 18; there will not be an earlier regional opening day this year. Trout stocking will still be completed by PFBC on an accelerated schedule. In order to safeguard public health, no volunteers will be permitted to help stock trout this year. Anglers are encouraged to keep a distance of at least 6 feet between themselves and other people, avoid large crowds and carpooling, and clean all equipment thoroughly. More information is available here.

If the cases of Covid continue to rise in Pa, I fully expect the trout season to be delayed.

Do you expect all fishing and hunting to be delayed/cancelled?

A quote from Wolf's press conference yesterday, "you should not leave your home unless absolutely necessary." Hard to walk in public parks or ride a bike on bike trails without driving to get to 'em.

Well, yesterday, my brother and I met at a local SGL to go for a walk. He lives only a half mile from me, but we both drove separately straight to the parking area, and maintained distance at all times.
The other day, he walked the local rail trail, where people didn't always maintain distance. He didn't want to go back there.
So, were we wrong?

We all have problems Mr. Fleroo. Having a short rod hasn't been one of mine.

Does this all mean that that I have a legitimate reason to punch someone in the face this year when they try to crowd me out? That would be life-sustaining to keep people at a distance, wouldn't it?Or is it similar to shooting a cow if it comes in your yard?

Don't do that. Just stick a few rolled up T-Shirts in your vest for such occasions.

Do you expect all fishing and hunting to be delayed/cancelled? Not hunting since the nature of the hunt is not groups of people. For fishing, I would just expect that "opening day" is getting some serious attention due the the nature of grouping of people on that day.

sneezing coughing and/or farting should clear the close contact I would think.

LOL.Believe it or not but that incident is still following me around.Nobody can take a joke these days. That pinhead is now our new varsity football coach. After two years he finally approached my son in the weight room and made nice by trying to get him to play football this year.Jordan said, you'll have to talk to my Dad about that lol. That ended it quick.

Driving to exercise is OK as I read the order. No way can an LEO stop you as they don't know where you are going. I know a guy who continues to fish a DHALO, he says he didn't know. How many will just go by the booklet? This new order has not been in my newspaper nor on the local TV news.
Another local stream gets stocked today and I will watch (exercise). JM Carry on Just got back and news is not good. A Lackawanna county park was to be stocked but was canceled as all county parks are now closed, WCO said we are not going to stock the parks if their closed. He also said that the intent now is to clean out all state hatcheries now and there will be no in-season stocking. So the 2020 trout season will be different to say the least. JM

I should move to the banks of the creek and fish in my backyard.Does a tent count as a residence?
