Oh nothing much...just that the nephews of the president and CEO of KECA each drew cow tags the past two years. That's not including his son who drew a bull tag when the hunt first started. Something stinks...and it ain't elk droppings.

Something stinks...and it ain't elk droppings. Been saying that for years. The habitual defenders of the PGC and the elk drawing will keep fighting the fight, but the lottery system smells of stench.

In my opinion everything that has to do with elk tags needs to be handled by an independent third party that has no connections whatsoever to the PGC, KECA, or any outfitters. A lot of people from these groups are so connected in various ways and where there is power there is almost always corruption. Keep in mind, the examples above are only the ones known, it could go even deeper. I've seen enough not to trust it, to me it's a joke.

Rawleys son getting a bull tag right off the bat had many shaking their heads.

Then you have KECA finally, after all of these years, contributing to permanent land protection. But instead of making that land a part of a SGL or SF they go and deed it to themselves. Nobody will ever set foot on that land except for 'the connected'. Hell all of the land the visitor center sits on is state land but you have to stay on the paths. Pretty sure 'the connected' hunt on it during deer season. Wait, you can go off the paths if you pay $12.50 for a wagon ride. Lmao Gotta keep that money streaming in to pay huge salaries and spend thousands a pop to figure out what elk eat. Oh brother...

It's basically going to be the same as the land you're not allowed onto at the Visitor Center.

If it's only 9 acres,I don't really give a royal flying fart but I guess I still see Bill's point. If it were a few hundred acres previously open to hunting and then shut down,I would have a problem with any "conservation"organization doing that.

I really am not sure where it is. If I had to guess I believe it is a steep drainage area on the left as you turn into the VC entrance going up hill. It is dark timber where elk like to hang out. Sometimes you see people stopped along the main road looking down in. That's my guess on where the 9ac is.
