Well, in order to make sure the economy keeps rolling along, I bought a new crossbow this morning. Had to also buy a new bag target to handle the extra speed, plus a really nice case, which was way more than I should have spent.
It's a Wicked Ridge Invader M1. Has a lighted reticle for us older guys that can't see as well in low light. Has a hand crank, which anyone can use to cock the bow. 390 fps. I think my older bows are 270?
Anyway, I've been promising myself a new bow for well over a year, and a rifle purchase got in the way. LOL
Oh yeah, when it's cocked, only 9.5 inches wide. Plus it weighs 6 pounds.
Broadheads and bolts with lighted nocks will be added later in the year.
Now I just need to knock off a Brinks truck to pay for it. 😂

Impressive Dutch plus made in the USA!!
I really like that built-in cocking device. Is the scope already mounted??

I started using the cheap knockoff lighted knocks a few years ago and I absolutely love them. My wife and I both like the blue best. The gold is when target shooting but is harder to see in the leaves.

Thats a nice bow. I like the hand crank on mine you can let the crank go 1/2 way and it won't hurt anything. You can also de-cock which is a big bonus for me.

The gold is when target shooting but is harder to see in the leaves. I think it will help me find the bolt after shooting at a deer so that we can observe what's on the bolt. And yes on its way to the deer we will be able to see the nock, hopefully

At almost 400 fps, I doubt you'll se a nock sticking out of a deer, unless you hit bone. Or shoot it at a fairly long distance.

Last year when my daughter shot her doe, I couldn't even see the bolt on it way to the deer. When she missed one, due to a screw missing, it went over the back and I could clearly see the bolt.

Tell her to hunt with Stroupy. He can probably see the bolt.

Have fun pulling the bolts out of the target. I bought the Tenpoint Nitro 505 and had to buy a special arrow puller to get them out. Bolt puller

Target shooting with a X-bow, is a huge negative when compared to shooting with verticals. You can rack of 6 vertical shots in a minute. Not so with x-bow. The only redeeming quality with x-bow is that 1 practice shot is all that's required hopefully.

Last crossbow I bought was an Excalibur Exocet 200 back in 2009 when full inclusion was passed. I think the speed is around 300fps. I bought it via online from Bowhunters whse. I did some target shooting with it but never hunted.
If in the the market for a Ten Point or other highend crossbow....where's a good place to check??

You have to get the lighted nocks, Dutch. When I shot this buck at 30 yards broadside, it looked as if it had been shot with a laser beam through the scope. I was using a TenPoint Turbo GT and a rage mechanical broadhead.

Yea Larry. It has the Accudraw built-in cocking device. It's slicker than sin. Also has the lighted reticles in red or green for "old man eyes."

On my Excal I have a rope cocker & a mechanical Crankaroo(must be attached to cock & unattached to shoot). I think the Crankaroo has been discontinued due to safety issues. Both were PIA's in their own ways.

Went shed hunting on Resovoir this afternoon, on the way back up I angled toward my stand and found my bolt from Oct. Buck. It was 50 yards past the blow through. Bolt 70 yds total. Amazing
