Ya, I guess a broadhead is for the FINAL practice shot. Doesn't sound like you're at the final stage yet.

This is the response I got from Tenpoint about my scope being off.
Thank you for letting us know. Not all of our scopes are bore sighted at the factory so that may have been one that was not. I believe the only ones we bore sight is the Evo X and Rangemaster 100.

NEW 70-yard Pro-View 400 Scope: Offers aimpoints out to 70-yards and features an updated reticle for a cleaner view and greater down-range accuracy. Pre-Sighted at 20-yards: Pre-sighted by American workers before leaving the factory to ensure your success.

Kinda irks me I lost a bolt, but glad I shot it in a place where it wouldn't hit any building. I usually put my bag target in front of my masonry garage to shoot. Of course had I done that I would have had a mark on the wall to see where I hit. Lol

I spoke with the national sales manager and he assured me that the M1 Invader is put on a jig and adusted to hit close to the bullseye at 20 yards before leaving the factory.

Good shooting. Was there a tick of crosswind that drifted that 50 yard group?

Good shooting. Was there a tick of crosswind that drifted that 50 yard group? Not much and I wondered why they were so far off. I may have to try it again sometime. I have no intention of shooting a deer at that distance. When I went to shoot I just wanted to shoot at 20, but then I decided to go to 30, then.... Lol I had never shot at 40 before and it was just kinda fun, and informative. Then I got curious about 50

Lol Could be a slightly canted bow when shooting as well. If you shoot again, make sure your limbs are parallel to the ground. If off slightly, it will send groups left or right further downrange. Also, keep in mind just a slight windage adjustment is amplified as range increases. So, maybe adding a few clicks right may bring that group right in at 50 and you probably won't notice the change at 20 and 30. I get paranoid if my groups drift left or right. They shouldn't if there is no crosswind.

I was shooting off a bench using my bench rest tripod, pretty sure it wasn't canted as I watch for that when I'm shooting groups with rifles. You are right, adjusting at 50 isn't going to be noticed at 20. Lugging that bag target out on the range sure wasn't fun tho. I need a cart. 😂

Hey Dutch, did you get any more shooting in and if so, do you get the slight drift figured out?
Loggy, Fleapoo. Any further exploration of a new crossbow for the fall of 2024?

Last year i was considering a new crossbow. I looked at them, even called a local shop for a specific model and he said not in yet but would be soon.
As "soon" approached I kept thinking of do I really need to replaced my 10 years old Horton (long since bankrupt)?
Then I read about a crossbow scope called the Hawk. The interesting part is, you can adjust this scope to any crossbow speed and the crosshairs will be spot on at the yardage.
So, I figured for $150 I'd roll the diced. Well, it works and works very well. I zeroed it to 20 yards, then 30. My crossbow is spot on at 10, 20, 30, and 40yds. I tried 50 but my arrow speed is from ten years ago so that got a bit wonky.
Now, I would not take a 40yd shot unless the conditions were perfect. No wind, no trees\shrub in the path....as it's tough to tell if there's small branches from 40 yards.
So, new scope.....no new crossbow.

Still in the “thinking about mode”. With my fishing/crabbing pretty much running into early November just wondering how much crossbow hunting I could fit in. Also, do some fall turkey and October Special Deer/Bear open to Seniors. Looking back to pre-retirement ....wondering when did I ever have time to work!😀

Dust it off, throw a few twists in the string and it should be good to go.
