I haven't decided. Could go to Fayette County up on the mountain. Always bear there....until a week before rifle. Then they disappear. Could go to Ligonier......they put some big drives on there and I could get lucky.
I dunno.

Think I'm gonna look for & hunt the area they disappear to.....wherever that may be!!!

Leaving for camp on Friday morning, Clinton County, Noyes Township, returning home Monday or Tuesday. Going to be slim pickings this year, no acorns to speak of, and no signs of bear and very little deer. Good luck to all Coureur De Bois

I've been seeing Bears this year but mostly in Elk County. I saw one in Forksville PA this summer but he was 400+. Now my wife saw what she said was around a 400 pounder last month Inline hunting in Elk County. I believe her. That woman has seen at least a hundred Bears over the years.

Well, since Kathy got a negative covid test, we will be heading up. I'm hoping to pheasant hunt with Grouse28, while she bear hunts. All she has to do is set up a deer blind in the middle of the woods, then wait 50 yards away until they come to attack it! Easy peasy

I never hunted barr. I don't eat barr. I don't want to deal with gutting and dragging a barr. I don't want to pay for a barr rug or barr mount. NO BARR FOR ME !

I plan on moving some stands around on the bear opener to get ready for rifle deer. With some recent logging, some of the stands need to be relocated.

It's good your partner is "carbing up". Will provide much needed strength in the event of a bear drag.

I was going to get a Motel room closer to the hunting area tonight but I had to pick up a bed, boxspring, and bedframe for my son and help him assemble them. We just got done and I'm too tired to drive to Bellefonte yet tonight. I'm going to bed and I'm going to shove off at 3 am for the Quehanna

Was out moving some stands bright and early. Didn't hear any shots. Of course this was in Washington County, lol.

I didn't make it out this am. But I'm going on a "scouting" mission this afternoon. I know this property I hunt pretty well and I know there is a decent shooter 10pt on it. I'm going to look at a few different setup spots for rifle season. I've been fortunate the last 3 years to take a nice buck off this property during archery. This year.....with the trip I took with the Mrs. (The post COVID get me outta here before I need the luny bin) most of archery season was "gone." But that's Ok, I can only hope there will be many more archery seasons to come!! Here's the buck I'm referring to:
