The committee met to consider SR 6.
SR 6 Greenleaf, Stewart - (PN 180) Resolution directing the Joint State Government Commission to study the issue of violence prevention, to establish an advisory committee to conduct a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the underlying causes of violent crime, including mass shootings, and to report to the Senate with its findings and recommendations. - The bill was unanimously reported as committed.
Sen. John Eichelberger (R-Blair) questioned whether areas like architectural designs will be included. Chairman Stew Greenleaf (R-Montgomery) said the legislation is "wide open" in terms of what may be addressed.
