Bushy, you need a straw hat and some suspenders, just like the Amish here! Great job on the corn!
I planted my turnip mix this weekend in Potter. Threw in some sunflowers. Deer LOVE young sunflowers. Thinking this will make it a double crop type plot.
Got some rain last nite and this morning again. Should do well.

Bushy, did you put extra nitrogen on that corn or do you think it's just rainfall and good weather?

Just rainfall, used nitrogen the day we planted in early May.

Washington county in Burgettstown feathers. Was able to disc fields this afternoon. A little sticky but workable. Will plant turnips and beets in the morning.

Took about 6hrs. this morning but I managed to get all 4 plots seeded today. 1 with Red Clover and Ladino Clover, and 3 with Purple Top and Sugar Beet. Now I need these recent rains to continue for a bit.

Man, I thought it would have been too wet to work with all the rain you had out there.

Man, I thought it would have been too wet to work with all the rain you had out there. I was surprised myself. It quit raining around 8am Saturday. I ran a disc over them late afternoon. It was damp but not sticking to blades. This really helped dry them out. I seeded, fertilized, re-disced, and rolled in today. Glad I'm done, to much work. I don't even hunt the dang things.
