How to tie flys linkThe above link will take you to the "Orvis" web site of how to tie various types of flys. On the right hand side they classify the flys by type, dry, nymphs, emerger, salt water, etc. They also have a section on tying techniques. Then you can click each classification and select the fly you may want to tie.....depending upon if you think it's easy to difficult. They provide very detailed directions in the video, as well as written directions underneath and the "recipe" right under the video Neat stuff!!!

That is a very good site for getting patterns or learning tying techniques. I wish the internet had been around when I started tying. It sure would have made things much faster and easier. I don't know how many books on tying I have from over the years. The same goes for trapping.
My oldest son still uses a old collection of fly tying "flash cards" from years ago that have recipes and tying instructions for tons of flies.

Maybe we should post the hatches we see on the streams we fish on the day we see them, sort of a hatch alert?
Even if you don't know the actual name of the bug, we could describe it; a pinkish mayfly about a number 14 or, a black stone fly about a number 16, etc...

Are the dries your hendricksons? They should be hatching soon. Your muddlers look good. They are a fly that I do not like to tie. The one in my box are used more as grasshoppers in the summer than as streamers. I have never been a fan of streamer fishing, but when nothing else works I can usually get a few with them and some of my biggest trout have been taken that way.
