Hello From KS, Kingman KS to be exact. I grew up in PA in Beaver County. Now after moving around the world with Uncle Sam I live in KS here in the Midwest. Love the wide open spaces, Great Hunting and low number of people. LOL Best Buck out here so far is 173 BC after 24 inches of deductions from broken points. I love to deer hunt, Fish, and shoot guns. I am just getting into shooting flintlocks and hope to kill a deer with my T/C Renegade 50 cal.

Welcome. Many years ago I drove across Kansas. Got one of my brilliant ideas. I thought if I took a dozer out to Kansas and built a hill people might pay to see it. Then I started thinking that it wouldn't matter where one was in Kansas. They could see the hill for free. I scrapped the idea.

Welcome Bucky. I'm well aware of Beaver Pa.. My nephew lives there now and when my Grandparents farm had most of their land condemned by the Government for the purposes of the Erie Canal extension (near Connect Lake Pa.) my Grandfather then took a job with the railroad. They kept the farm and rented a 2 bedroom row house in Beaver. I spent many weekends there (Beaver) but more summer's at the farm. I too went all across the USA courtesy of uncle Sam as my Dad was in the Navy for 20 years. It's a tough life not only as a parent, but bouncing around as a child. My best friend was my older sister until I was 12 when my Dad finally "retired."
Anyway.....welcome to the forum. Any blackpowder questions just ask. I love 'em and so does Loggy along with some others. I've been shooting mine since the early '80's. I built from scratch a 50 caliber flint pistol. Fun stuff!!!

Welcome. Kansas envy is common in many hunting circles.

Welcome. Do you miss the hills and forest of PA? Is there much public hunting land in your state?
