Three years ago we had the best apple and wild grape year ever but this spring is shaping up to beat that record. I have never seen so many apple blossoms on so many trees. Some trees that never had more than a scattering of blossoms are fully loaded. With no cold weather in the forecast it is reasonably certain this will be a bumper year for soft mast.

Yes, where you are.
I've seen this before, only to have a morning or two of 28 degrees and lower in Potter and wipe it all out.
We have had 2 apples crops since 2009, the rest froze out.

Yes, could happen but our long range forecast for Northern PA., (all of), is for "above average" temperatures. Of course, that is why I stated; "reasonably" certain......love being an optimist especially when dat are in my favor.

Apple trees at my club are covered with blossums! I'm loving the long range forcast, but you never know. Some of ours are already dropping blossoms and that's a good stage to be through. What the heck, it was well into the 70's yesterday in Mansfield and the entire northern tier has high 60's, 70's and one or two 80 degree days forecast. I honestly don't see any concern other than some unforeseen natural disaster.
