Was doing some looking at Youtube and came across these videos about building buck beds and also making a community scrape. Anyone ever try it? Any results?

Did licking branches many years ago. It works.
Did some quick buck beds, and there was deer hair in them. That was in some hemlocks.

Look up Jeff Sturgis, and I forget the name of his blog, but it might be of some help.

I like natural buck beds and licking branches. They are everywhere under my main stand. Put my stand in a bedding area, and didn't realize it was the master bedroom this year. I had numerous deer bedded under me while on stand this year. Some within 5 ft. It was crazy.

I found out it only takes one time to bump deer out of there beds for them to find another one for a while, I try to stay out of them if I can.

I've never had a problem bumping them off the beds this year. Occasionally I would bump one on the trail in at day break. The deer would normally show up mid day and bed right under me. Never found bumping deer or over hunting a single stand to be a problem. I've killed a ton of bucks as well. When I shot my biggest I had hunted same stand 15 straight evenings.
