They are more of a basketball and football store than a gun store.

And so it begins. Walmart had just started selling ARs this year in many of their stores, so I expect they'll be the next major retailer to jump on this "capitulation" bandwagon?
One of the larger firearms manufacturers, Cerebus, has announced that it is selling-off all of the manufacturers it has aquired over the past several years.
That would include Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, H&R and several other manufacturers/firearms related enterprises.

Their primary responsibility is to enhance shareholder value with maximization of profits which this decision obviously will considering their overall yuppie customer base..
I only buy at small dealers & could care less what Dicks does or does not sell. Mostly a yuppy type place anyway imo. I always go to Gander if my small dealer cannot get things for me which is very rarely.

I was in a Dick's yesterday and the guy behind the gun counter told me Dick's shot themselves in the foot because he isn't selling squat in regards to anything for hunting and shooting compared to last year.

Yep, some people that would ordinarily be buying hunting/shooting related gifts at Dick's, are probably now shopping elsewhere? Too bad.
Perhaps they can get by on the soccer mom trade, because they will no longer be getting any of my money for anything. Feel bad about that, because one of our sportsmen's club members works in The Lodge.
