Apples to oranges. Nobody died. About everybody died at Newtown CT. Stricter gun laws? Yes it's time.

Wow nobody died really I can't believe all these people falling right into the anti's hands give an inch they are gonna take a foot. There are strict gun laws in China so now instead of gun incidents they are having recurring knife incidents.

You have me baffled right now guns have been around longer then you and I! Its weird how we are still around with guns being evil and all can't believe the two coexisted all this time.

I never said we should give up our guns, at least not the ones that we have good reason to own. I just said I'd rather see knife massacres than gun massacres if those are the only choices.

You see there is the problem! I am not willing to allow the government or anyone but me, be the decision maker of guns I have a good reason to own.

If someone could explain to my satisfaction how prohibiting me from owning any particular firearm would have prevented this tragedy, feel free to put it out there. The problem here is that we are focusing on the weapon used and not the cause of the guy going bananas. Where did he get the brilliant idea to waste a classroom full of children? Think about that for a moment.

One other thing to consider. If preventing such tragedies were as simple as passing a law, why do we have them? Isn't murder already illegal? I will submit this one simple idea. Disarming the American gun owner will not work because most gun owners will not give up their guns. Most of us do not trust our government all that much. Sad, isn't it.
