320 samples taken yesterday. Much slower today. Compliance and cooperation from hunters has been absolutely amazing!

Some awesome deer coming in. Many 10-11 points not getting mounted but 40+ were still caped yesterday on their way to a taxidermist.

I'm not sure what the estimate was. I won't be back to the check station until Saturday. Live posts and tweets from there will stop after today as we move into deer aging.

As of today, the check station had collected over 1000 samples. This includes deer checked there and heads brought to the site from deer that were delivered to cooperating taxidermists and meat processsors. We're expecting a good day Saturday.

Wow. That's awesome. Can u confirm a call I just got? My source at ag said purple 4 in Huntington was shot today!

As always, PDA should be providing the public with timely information on the status of Purple 4 and other captive/farm raised deer. It is their deer and their responsibility. If something had changed in the wild population the PGC would have immediately issued a press release. Contact PDA for status updates. Good luck.

Thanks. My friend has had perfect info thus far so I already put it on hush wall. I have little to no respect for that dept as a whole. Some people there are top notch however

Stroupy. Ags tests are not accurate. I don't trust them. They get both false positives and negatives and only confirm the positives they get. What a crock. Get better testing or send it to a more reliable lab
