I've been out in the woods the past couple of weekend and have noticed a pile of immature acorns falling. At first I thought they just got knocked down when we had some bad storms but this past weekend they were dropping so fast that it sounded like they were raining.I've never seen that before.

Storm brought a number down from the oak tree at camp and some continued to fall.

Maybe just to many for the trees to support?

I believe it's usually do to a wet spring that doesn't allow them to pollinate properly.
