I just finished dinner. Venison pepper steak. Absolutely one of my favorite dishes of any kind.
Here's my recipe: about a pound of venison. I like loin, but any steak will do. Slice the loin thinly in strips. A liberal dose of olive oil in a large frying or sauté pan. Heat the oil and put the venison in with chopped garlic. As soon as the venison begins to brown, add lots of onions. Sprinkle the venison and onions with powdered ginger, a good splash of soy sauce, and another good splash of teriyaki sauce. Add black pepper and sea salt. If you want to kick it up a little more, add some crushed red pepper.
add sliced green and red peppers. Add thin slices of celery. Add a can of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles. Add a can of diced tomatoes. (If you prefer, add two cans of Rotel instead of the can of diced tomatoes).
Simmer for a few minutes until the vegetables start to cook and then add sliced fresh mushrooms.
Cover and let simmer for about 12-15 minutes.
Prepare white rice while th pepper steak simmers.
Serve the pepper steak over rice.
Some good Italian bread and a nice Cabernet Sauvignon make this a meal for a king! Happy eating!

I make a similar but I cut the steak up in cubes. I also throw in noodles at the end and it turns out great. The wife loves when I make it. I use Worcestershire, Heinz 57 and some other ingredients. The noodles are what makes it though!

Glenn....that sounds like a great meal!! I'd fix a bit more than a pound though. 'Cause I like leftovers for a small lunch the next day. *popcorn*
