I lived in this town for the better part of 60 years and this morning while on my way to the post office I saw a Bald Eagle take off from a tree along the river. This may not excite many but to see a Bald Eagle so close to town was a thrill for me.

Isn't that something? We have them at camp and its still always neat to see one perched in a tree across the creek.
Yesterday, my brother was pumping gas here in town and looked up to see 2 bald eagles flying around. Guy at the next pump asked what he was looking at and he told him. The guy said, "How do you know they are bald eagles." Uh........ white head, white tail, big arse bird.....

A couple of weeks ago we seen a bald eagle eating a road killed deer along Rt. 15 North near the Trout Run exit. Then on the way home we seen 2 on the South bound lane of Rt. 15 just down from the Turkey Ranch sitting in a tree. It looked like a big nest in the tree also. We also had 2 out back of my house in Mount Joy in March. I think they were looking for a nest sight but the farmers started to cut there hedge rows back and I believe they didnt like that and they left.
