Homemade crust. You're my hero. I simply hate when folks diminish such a wonderful pie with store-bought crust.
On to the berries. I just told my wife yesterday, that our berries may be in trouble with all this rain and not enough sun. I've seen years where the majority have molded on the bush because they simply stayed wet and could not get enough sun. I've also seen years where the dance was perfect, where it rained mostly in the evenings, and we had beautiful sunny days most of the summer. We shall see.

Not a fan of blackberries, but I know they sure feed a lot of woodland critters!

I'm a big fan of both black and raspberries. They should be coming ripe soon. I make jam and pies.

If I had to guess, you are referring to Black Raspberries. They come first, then the actual Blackberries slightly after that.

There is no comparison between bland tasteless Mulberries, and Raspberries and Blackberries which are delicious. I prefer black raspberries to red ones.

I take it you only had the red Mulberries since I don't know what your talking about since my neighbor when I was a kid had one and ate them every summer they are excellent and aren't bland.
