Glad to see
Now; if the legislature would only make assulting a WCO the same as any other LEO- a felony.
At least the bill is moving.

I want assaulting ANYONE a felony.
Why should we have special laws for various segments of the population?
Why is it "more wrong" to assault an LEO than it is me or some little old lady?

Man that was trial was fast...then again as I said not much the defense attorney could do since the the client provided the best (forensic) evidence.

I'd be shocked if he didn't get the death penalty.

In this day and age....I'll be shocked if he does get it. But then even if he does, it'll probably be another 10 years before it actually happens.

Lancaster County jury, so, as liberal as we are here, he may not get it.
Honestly, to be locked up for life would be more of a punishment than to be put to death, IMO.
They stick a needle in yer arm and you go to sleep. End of story. Quick and painless.

Oh it gets botched sometimes and it winds up being neither. lol Truthfully in PA the process is so long and slow (granted Bob Casey didn't really help) only Gary Hdynek and one other guy have been put to death since 76. However Ridge and Rendell both signed death warrents and I think Corbett has too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using proboards

I think there is a guy scheduled to die this week or next. I'm sure he won't tho. By MaryClaire Dale, NBCPhiladelphia.com A Philadelphia judge halted next week's scheduled execution of a teenage killer after finding the trial prosecutor suppressed evidence the victim was molesting boys, “sanitized” witness statements before giving them to the defense and lied about a secret deal she'd struck with the accomplice. The judge also tossed out Terrance “Terry” Williams' death sentence, granting him a new sentencing hearing. Williams has been on death row for 28 years and was set to be executed Wednesday. He would have been the first person executed in Pennsylvania in 50 years who had not given up his appeals.

Executing someone in this state even when Governors sign the death warrants and the Defendants wants it to occur is a huge PITA.

Good, shame it will take 3 or more decades, but the proper sentence was handed down.
