We weren't successful. Infact we didn't even see a deer. That didn't matter, we still had a great sit together. When we climbed down at dark, he asked if he could come again next time and try again. To me, that's a success.

Going to give him a week off now. Check the trail cams on Saturday or Sunday and see if anything is using the plot in the daylight. If so, we'll go again. If not, I'm not going to ruin him on long sits with no deer.

The pictures are adorable! I know Dad's aren't "into" scrap-booking, but you should consider it. My favorite pictures of all time (other than my own daughter) are the photos I have of me fishing with my poppa.
Trust me, they were what drove me to be a hunter after his untimely death in what would have been my first hunting season.
