Today...on the way to work a bit in my Mom's garden...happened to glance off the road..and spy a flush of Sulphur Shelf mushrooms, oddly enough..right on a significant deer trail. Bare foot I was, and negotiated the steep grade..to find they were at premium condition. GOAL!!!...Harvested, went up the road a bit...saw a real good cluster of Oyster 'shrooms on a tree pretty high up on a tree right at road edge. Just happened to have my step ladder in the back of the truck...pulled to berm...climbed up on that ladder..and harvested about a pound and a half of Oysters. Tonight...dinner was Fried green 'maters, sauteed Shelf and Oysters. and Bluegill fillets Yep...Life is tuff sometimes
