From the email announcement:
Some of you may be aware of the emerging activities being planned for a 2 day, state-wide, (actually multi-state) Private Forest Landowner Conference to be held in Central Pennsylvania (Altoona) in May 2013. The event is anticipated to draw 1,000 landowners and will consist of 99 featured presenters and select field tours. This event is intended to serve as the kick off to what PSU hopes will become a more unified effort by all conservation oriented individuals, groups, organizations, and agencies to promote and achieve increased sustainability on private lands through the creation of a Private Landowner Center.
This is a great venue for QDMA to have a significant presence. There is still room for interested speakers to present on subjects that span a wide spectrum, to which could include folks from QDMA Branches or from National. If you’re interested in participating in some capacity, please let me know. If you want to become a presenter, please let me know and I can connect you with the appropriate program committee members.
At this time, the event is looking for program sponsors and exhibitors, described in the attached document entitled ‘PSU Private Forest Conference’. I would encourage leadership to take advantage of this opportunity, particularly from an exhibitor standpoint. This is a great platform to increase awareness of QDMA’s presence within Pennsylvania, particularly within the Central Appalachians and promote our work and many accomplishments in land conservation, habitat management, and policy.
Your time and consideration is appreciated,
Mike
