Here is the new plot I planted this spring. It has a lot of clover in it and some other plant that I need ID'd. I mowed it yesterday and put down more seed to try and get it thicker with clover. It used to be an old logging road and we opened it up by cutting the edges back and planting it with Red and Ladino clover. We also put in some birdsfoot trefoil which I don't thick came up at all. We also planted some scrub oak and pine trees around the edges also.

Log roads work well for plots. They get just enough sun in some spots, and stay moister because they usually aren't hit by the hot sun. Grouse really get a lot of use from them as well. I don't use trefoil as it's expensive and I have never really seen browsing on trefoil to any great extent. Your plot looks fantastic. And you worried?
