The wild black raspberry's are really nice this year, just picked another quart this evening from the patch behind my garage. A bowl of fresh warm berry pie in drowned in cold milk

Gonna crank up some "old time" home made ice cream to top off that pie

The berries are very nice this season. I picked a gallon on Saturday morning. I've got a couple pies in my future as well.

Dutch, thanks for the offer but I think you should stay lean and mean, or at least grumpy. I'm a tough ol' grey beard who always taste tests the Mrs cookin', don't want any of you young guys gettin' sick BTW I have taken my Dad's advice, he only ate 4 kinds of pie. HOT, COLD, THICK or THIN that's the ONLY kind he would eat.

The birds are eating them as fast as they ripen around here.

They did very well here, too. Some grew up a couple years ago inside my fenced from deer vegetable garden. I have picked several big bowls already in the last couple days. There are so many, the local pair of grey catbirds aren't relly putting a dent in them. Although, they do scold me when I pick the berries.

Picked another quart a little while ago, biggest wild black raspberry's I have seen in years and I pick several times every year. We love pies made out of handpicked fruit, everything from berries to peaches.
Tussey, had to laugh the catbirds were fussin' at me today, they really have their work cut out for them if they are going to pick the patch clean.

I have wild blueberry's on my land in Potter and they looked and tasted real good this year. I picked about a handful and put them in some vanilla ice cream. Yummy!!
