Big weekend planned for Potter County this weekend. We have about 300 trees/shrubs to plant and will also be liming the food plot and planting clover. We have 10 guys coming up so it should be a good time Also invited the local WCO over for a cookout on Saturday night, he is a big grouse hunter and dog man so it should be a good time. The last time I was up to camp it was deer season, man am I so ready to go!!

What a great weekend!! Some rain on Friday held us up 2 times but we accomplished everything that we needed to get done. Now the food plots just have to grow and some new tree stands have to be built and we'll be set for the season

What did you plant in your plots? Clover, I'm guessing.
Hoping to put some clover and oats in this weekend.

Clover and chickory in the big plot. White clover, ladino clover and birdsfoot trefoil in the other. The latter is a new plot so it will be a work in progress. Cut a bunch of timber down on this one to create some brushy habitat around the edges. Also put in some Scrub Oaks, Bayberry and White Pine around the edges for cover and food for the future. If we can get this plot to grow in nicely it will be awesome. We are going to put a "Big" tree stand at this location for a father /son hunting area.
