Any one plant it? I have in the past and had fantastic results, if you can keep it mowed the weeds don't take over you can get years out of one seeding, I have about two and a half acres fitted up and ready to seed. Maybe I will get it done tonight!

I plant regular old ladino clover and the deer use it 10+ months out of year. Other than mowing and some fertilizer you are right, years of use from it.

I can't even grow grass.I had the soil tested in my horse pastures and all it called for was a ton of lime/acre.This weekend,My son and I prepped, limed and seeded the upper pasture. It sounds simple but I just hope it takes.I'm telling you,I can't grow anything.

We've been planting Imperial Whitetail the last 10 years with good results. We've also planted Milo and Sunflowers that did okay. This year we've already plowed up our food plots and disced them. We are going to let them green up twice and kill um. Plan on planting our clover in mid-August this year. We've always had a weed problem and figure this might help.

Bushy, use a product called Butyrac for broadleaf weeds in clover. Pretty effective.
I've used Poast on grasses, with limited success, due to timing.
Last year, we sprayed Roundup on a linear plot to kill it off, and it came back lush with clover, and darned near weed free. The deer loved it.
We did run a disc over it just to cut furrows in the ground, then reseeded, but it wasn't the new seed that made it so lush.

Doug if you can keep your horses off of it, buck wheat will break up and sweeten your soil, let it go to seed then turn your horses loose on it.
