Seems one can never have one BIG enuff!! ;D
I'm lookin for sumpin in the 8qt range & not many to be found to do 5-6 lb roast with veggies etc . Current have a 4 & 6. With a 6qt i can fit 5-6lb roast no problem but when i start loadin veggies etc...its soon to the top. I think an 8 would be perfect.
Curious if anyone one has a crockpot larger than 6 qt??

Yep my family and the guys we hunt with do a deer roast every year. We all are armed with 16 qt'ers they are bigger but you can't go wrong. We put everything in there from deer meat to filling. Best way to make a wild turkey and any meat. If you hit it at the right time Walmart has them on sale at times for a little over 20 bucks.
p.s one little note for anyone interested one 16 qt oven filled with filling feeds around 70 people!

I considered one of the 16QT oven roasters but really didnt need that much capacity. Something in the 8-10 qt would be perfect. Plus the crockery style cookers are specifically designed to slow cook with a heavy ceramic lined/removable crock insert at 200 degrees & with a max of 300. The oven roasters are really a portable/self contained oven like most ranges have. They do certainly serve a purpose but not the same as crockpot.
