While out in the woods today, saw three fresh scrapes!!!
I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.

I have never witnessed it, but I have a buddy that has a trail camera over scrapes that get hit and freshened up all year. He believes they are community scrapes and not breeding scrapes.

I have never witnessed it, but I have a buddy that has a trail camera over scrapes that get hit and freshened up all year. He believes they are community scrapes and not breeding scrapes. I had one of those on our property, but due to logging, it got covered over. These are scrapes that aren't open all year, believe me. These are only there during breeding. Over the summer, they get covered over and are untouched. These are usually only open in the fall.

I know of two that are hit year 'round. They are not hit as often outside of the prerut/rut.
