I've bought a gun every month since November. I just bought a Mossberg shotgun Friday. Is there a rehab clinic I can check into somewhere? Maybe a 5 step program?

Mike...what do you need all those guns for..... I thought you hunt Sullivan County?? One rarely fired gun would never ever wear out there!!

I keep thinking I want a 223, but I really have enough. I went a lifetime just having what I absolutely needed, and now, I treat myself.
I'm going to work up a new load for my 260 in a bit. The brass and bullets came yesterday. Once that's done and sighted in, I'm ready for youth and firearms seasons

I've been taking a hard look at a WW-II era Luger. I've downloaded and printed out a 400 page "book" on the Luger. Who made them, what the purpose was, and what era they were made in etc.
I want a 9MM as the 30-Luger has to be hand loaded. I also do not want the grip safety (think 1911 style). And I've narrowed it down to a DWM manufacturer. The year isn't as important as the shape. That said it's about $2-K for a decent shooter. I don't want a collectable. If I don't shoot it....it won't stay long with me.

I'm a big hunter but can't say the same about guns. Rifles in this state are a bad investment if you are not a heavy shooter. You can use it for 3 weeks out of the year to hunt with?

And you can play with them,if you choose. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of the guns I now have. I think that one you used now has 5 deer to its credit. Life is good. 🙂

What can I say. I like shooting As do I. Last weekend (well....every day is Saturday for me) I took my 44 mag Win 1892 (Japan) that has a full octagon barrel and shot 100 rounds through it. It's a wicket accurate rifle and fun to shoot. Will I ever take it hunting? Probably not as I have other rifles that I feel are better for deer. But....maybe at some point!! The last doe I shot I was using my Win 1894 in 38-55. Off hand about 60 yards....double lung!! Fun stuff!!

I have been going the other way for a long time. The last gun I bought was a Henry .22 for my youngest son's birthday, eleven years ago. I have given the boys some of my guns but still have more than I need. It seems a waste to rarely shoot or hunt with them.

I pretty much stopped buying guns 10 years ago. I have enough to do what I want. Most of mine have not been shot in years. I always wanted a 1911, though.

My last addition was 3 years ago a Browning X-Bolt Stalker 6.5CM. 5 years ago I bought a CZ 712 Gas operated Semi 12ga as my ole Browning Gold was drilled/tapped with turkey scope so is dedicated to turkey hunting. As of today( ) I think I have all the guns I really need. Of course....you know how that is!!!

I went through a period in my 20's-30's where I bought and sold guns like crazy. When my son started to hunt,I got rid of all the guns I didn't need and bought him some really nice guns. The one's we have we use but I don't see either of us ever needing another one.

I've had somewhere around 200. They come and go although I haven't sold any since September when I let 3 classics go. I've come to the conclusion that classic walnut stocked rifles aren't the future. The future as I see it is tactical rifles, shotguns, pistols, and synthetic stocked hunting rifles. I envision trouble on the horizon with temporary periods of bugout and quickly disappearing big game. A Savage 99 just doesn't fit into that scenario

I don't have any wood stocked rifles, my shotgun has a pretty wood stock on it tho. Dang I like the looks of that one.
Composite stocks are cold and noisy, but, that is the future. I dipped my favorite years ago in camo, and just like the looks of that. The newest ones are just black....yet.....🙂
