to be one of those evil 1%ers? Here ya go. www.foxbusiness.com/money/heres-how-much-money-you-need-make-join-worlds-richest-1-percentIt's getting more expensive to crack into the top 1% of wealth in the U.S. You now need a net worth of at least $5.8 million in order to be part of that small but elite group, according to the upcoming 2024 wealth report from Knight Frank. That is a notable 12% increase from the $5.1 million needed just one year ago. By comparison, Americans needed a net worth of $4.4 million to receive the coveted 1% status in 2022. Lots more comparing this country to others at the link. So, anyone in that group. For the recordl, not me.

Based on the professions that I know the folks have or have had on here, 4-5 Mil would need some "outside influence" in order to attain. Like say, inheriting ma and pa's old money, a lottery win ( a friend of mine hit for 4.2 Mil about 30 years ago), selling a good sized farm, gas lease/royalties off of a fair chunk of land, etc...

I believe it's no longer about the top 1%, it's about the top .10%

I don't have that much. But I have enough to live as I want(pretty simply), give some to charity, save some every month, and leave a good chuck to my wife and my sons. Things are better than I expected. And my Social security checks start in April. I can't complain.
