Will we ever have a decent ice season again. I have only been out once in the last 3 years.

Don't think that is likely in PA. Part of the reason I never got into ice fishing.

We have had good years and bad years when it comes to ice. We have just had three not so good in a row. Before that we were on the ice a good bit.

I was into ice fishing big time in 60’s-70’s. Back then we would invariably have a good fishable lock-up in Southern PA & Northern MD from January through most of February. Fished crappie at Broad Creek, MD above Conowingo Hydro Plant plus local York County lakes. I retired in 2014 and bought a new Swedish NILS ice drill along with a new ice Otter sled planning for getting back into ice fishing. In 10 years only had a few good lock-ups up in Lycoming County near my camp at Rose Valley Lake nothing here in York County. Did I hear global warming?? Nah!! lol Been Pretty Much Inactive!!

My friend who lives near the St Lawrence is packing his ice stuff up this week and getting his boat ready. They usually have 2 ft of ice, this year 11 inches.
A piece on NBC last week showed a lake in Minnesota, where they have lost 2 weeks of ice time over the last couple decades.

I haven't ice fished for since the day NY Giants were in the Super Bowl. I will gladly trade try ice for not having to plow snow.
