At 70YO they have college debt? Did they have their kids when they were 50 and then borrowed to pay for the kids "Essential knowledge of musical chords for life" degree?

It's already too late interest rate cuts will do nothing for people where the money has already ran out and the credit card debt is up. Creditors probably are in a real pickle right now. I was reading an article about a couple, both in their early 70s, who still had a mortgage, and I think college debt, but also had doubled their credit card debt in the last 3 years. They were blaming Biden for their troubles and are going to vote for Trump. I shook my head and laughed. Those two irresponsible morons had to blame someone, other than themselves, for their financial predicament Sounds like they don't know how to say no or how to manage their finances. I guess every situation is different. Maybe they had unforeseen medical exspenses idk or they just are terrible at managing money. I see it with people all the time they couldn't wait to retire and I walk in and their boiler looks like it should have been replaced 15 years ago and you replace that stuff when you have a stable income not when you stop working. I got myself into a bad spot 10 years ago but it was a blessing also. It lit a fire under my rear end and I became a worker. This inflation is terrible compared to the 1.4% under Trump. 11,000 is a lot of money for even those that are well off. Heck the ones who have money cry when they have to spend a penny most times.

11,000 more for living expenses? Even when we had three teenage boys to support in the house our expenses would not have come close to increasing anywhere near that amount. And teenagers seem hungry 24 hours a day.

Gas, heat costs, electric costs, food costs all up a lot. My wife's uncle was just crying about the 600 oil bill for one 275 gallon tank, and he has money. He is frugal but 600 for a month and a half of oil made me shutter hearing. Thankfully I burn coal at 200 a ton that last a month but with all the government regulations the coal quality has been terrible since its no longer deep mine.

Three years ago I paid $210/ton for rice coal. This year it was $450/ton so I didn't burn any.

I was told yesterday China is buying all the barley from the breakers where I get my coal from. They charge $200 a ton but China is buying it from them at $900 a ton all they can get so they can make those clean and green solar panels for us. 🙄

We have no time for soft coal in this area. We cut our teeth on rock hard anthracite.

There are trains that run about 1/2 a mile from my house that make three trips a day hauling coal. I was told it all goes to China. With the fighting in Ukraine, it should surprise no one that gasoline, fertilizer and groceries have climb so high.

Benefits of a President running the country from jail:
—No huge Secret Service lodging & food cost for 360 days of staying at your own golf course. —No crazy press conferences —No red ties required, just orange jumpsuits that match……

Plus one side benefit for Trump the exposure of this historic court case may garner-up some voters from the Porn Industry in gratitude for his patronization.......not sure though about the mainstream American electorate.

The store I work at has way more than that.

Yes. But annual revenue is $3 million. Expenses $50 million Value somewhere or it wouldn't be reported. There are rules to establish valuations of companies as a "going concern". The process is quite complex and isn't done by an owner simply saying "it's worth this". We had a CPA in our firm who did nothing but small business valuations. In fact, she had not prepared a tax return in years. She was busy 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Crazy part is the IRS offered her a position to evaluate estate tax valuations on small business that were filed. At the time they offered her $100K, plus benefits, work from home, and only work 3 days per week. She was a Mom and took the job. I don't blame her at all.

Yes. But annual revenue is $3 million. Expenses $50 million Value somewhere or it wouldn't be reported. Just for kicks I looked up the stock. It's traded as DJT. Apparently it's now trading at $71\shr and has outstanding shares of 300,000,000. (Three hundred million) Total stock market value would be $21.3-billion. The Yahoo Finance shows no income statements, no balance sheets, no financial numbers at all. Maybe like buying Crypto......nothing behind it but "ain't this fun"?

I looked at MarketWatch.com and started to laugh. Here's a few comments posted by investors about the DJT stock:
Dominic Poole 4 hours ago
This is a politically and emotionally charged Stock that breaks all the rules in terms of investment value. Should see a major fall when things settle and true value is determined in real $$$$ terms.
Bogey Nine O'Seven 2 hours ago
This is a great chance for everyone to get in on Trump's biggest bankruptcy yet!
Randal Williams 3 hours ago
The saddest part of this story will occur when the MAGAs load up on this stock, its price reverts to its NAV ($2 ?), and poor old Biden gets blamed for it all! But this may be an easier way to help Trump pay his legal fees…..this time.
