The Republican party is turning into anti hunters and anti gunners. The problem in the northern MN, Wi and MI is wolves, winters and habitat.

The other thing is every hunter has it within his trigger finger to shoot or don't shoot.

I know some areas in WMU 3B where it certainly would make sense. Problems is many times they just implement such as a broad brush.

The other thing is every hunter has it within his trigger finger to shoot or don't shoot. We know better than to trust in that. When Dr Kalbfus started the PGC in the 1890's he would have to go to the Adirondacks every year to hunt deer because PA had next to none. And had the PGC not been started the same people who killed the last PA elk would have killed the last deer in this State

I remember early on when the PGC limited the number of Bear Licenses sold. In fact...I think for a year or 2 they even CLOSED Bear Season?

If we pull the trigger, then that chance is gone I hunt next to a DMAP state Forest. The first two days of the season, I hate to even move because I know a doe will have a greater chance to get killed, if it runs onto the SF. My brother is a walker, always complains that when he's moving, there are shots coming from the SF. This year he wasn't there for the first two days. Less shots..... My property is a triangle. The back and middle are narrow. Kick a deer and in 30 seconds, it's off the property

That's my Son too. I don't even know if he ever sits down while hunting? His father in law is letting us hunt his private land in Perry County this year (it was under lease before) but my Son doesn't want to hunt it the first week of Rifle. He wants to be upstate. And I know the reason is because he'll have to sit on stand on the private ground where upstate he can walk all the livelong day

My brother finally climbed into a ladder stand this year towards the end of the first week. Second time he ever sat in a stand, and missed a buck. The day before he sat in another stand, and saw a buck, not sure it was legal.
I'm still not sure he missed that deer, but he missed one at 35 yds a few years ago. I'm thinking he has them gutted before he even squeezes the trigger. LOL

My son missed two bucks this year in Rifle. But they were both standing in the thick stuff so we're certain his bullets were deflected
