Keep us updated, on the bolt problem along with the cartridge feed problem. I think I got the cartridge feeding issue fixed on mine, but won't know until I do some live firing. Something I hope to do in the next couple of weeks. The magazine feed issue is something Ruger needs to fix on these first generation guns. I had no feeding issues today. Probably fired 12-15 rounds Glad to hear that. I think I have the issue fixed with the three Americans I have also, but I had to dish out the front of the magazine some.

Well, I finally got to shoot my last group today. 15/16th inch. That will be fine. 80 grain Barnes TTSX, 42 grains of 4350. View AttachmentNice. I’ve had good luck using IMR 4350 in all the 243 I’ve own over the years. Both in 75 grain V-max and 100 RN.

Glad to hear that. I think I have the issue fixed with the three Americans I have also, but I had to dish out the front of the magazine some. Maybe I should do that just to be sure I don't have a problem. Did you use a Dremel? yes, just be careful it comes off quick with a Dremel, and I used the finest drum I had. If you do you may need to remove a burr on the inside of the dish. I used a sharp knife then some steel wool to smooth up any burr, then blew out the magazine with compressed air. It was always the last shell in the mag that hung up or jammed on me. I took out a fair amount out of the dish. Down to where the lower ramp is just a little above the bottom of the dish. It measures out to about 1.1 inches between the bottom of the magazine to the bottom of the dish. If you don't have any problem, I probably won't mess with it. But if you do this should cure it, it did on mine.
