My great niece and my daughter missed deer with my crossbow this year. Finally looked at it today and the one screw that attaches the trigger assembly to the stock is missing! The whole mechanism pivots when cocked.
Hopefully I can find another bolt. Wife has the same bow, so I can take hers out and start my search, or just put a hose clamp over the whole thing. 😂

My wife missed a 6 point the last Saturday of archery season, shooting behind its rump @ 16 yards. The two does she killed this season were perfect lethal shots at just a bit further. I walked up to her stand after her morning sit the next day and while we were walking home she noticed that the whisker biscuit rest on her bow was very loose and slid back and forth anytime she moved the bow. She was puzzled by the miss, but that cleared things up.
I have no idea how she didn't notice sooner, but there have been times when I've driven her car and ask her things like; "How long has it been making that noise?"........ "What noise?"
Oh well, there are plenty of times she finds things in a minute that I have already given up looking for.

So much shock and vibration with crossbows. Every year before the season, I check every darn screw and bolt I can get to. Not unusual to find something loose.

Finally got around to looking for a screw. I work at a hardware store but didn't think we'd have one of these. We did, and I bought a spare. Put Loctite on the screw this time!
