Anybody make it out for the big day? I miss the days of taking my nephew out for youth day. We would usually crush them. Our best day was over 50 trout including three breeders. I don't have any little ones in my extended family so I offer to take friends and co workers kids now but it seems everybody is too "busy" to go fishing. Sports is usually the excuse.
I took a ride to a local stream to check the pressure. Not too much going on. A few kids and adults here and there. The weather was pretty crappy around here though. Blustery and chilly.

I got my seven year old twin grands ready, loaded up the truck and took them to a favorite place of mine. No sooner had we arrived than the temperature dropped six degrees, winds kicked up and dark threatening clouds moved in and we had a few, quick, snow squalls. I think we spent a wonderful twenty minutes together. It would have been a better day to fly kites if it wasn't so cold.

I got my seven year old twin grands ready, loaded up the truck and took them to a favorite place of mine. Glad to see there are some folks taking the time to take others fishing. Wish the weather would have been better for ya. I know plenty of kids that I could take but there are more excuses as to why they can't go.

You could have asked me to go Saturday, and I would have given you 101 excuses why I couldn't.
There's feeshing for fun and relaxation, and there's trying to survive whilst you feesh. I prefer the former ?
