I just sent over my communication to the BOC asking for flintlock to be extended statewide to end on the same day as the extended firearms ends in the SRAs. I also asked for semiautos to be legalized for big game and I asked for small game to be left open through our big game seasons like many other states do it. Feel free to add those support items to your emails as well. :-)

Lol.
My "wish list" will be a bit diffy from yours.
A. I'm going bigger per Flintlocks. I want to get those BOC dolts (I wont call them dolts in the email, lol) to recognize the virtually non-impactful use of TRADITIONAL equipment. Longbow, recurve, flinters. And I will be asking that they consider adding them to the early 7 week season, which for now, we call "early archery". I'll help them along, and propose they issue low-cost "Traditional" stamps, to track participation/harvest, etc...
Your ask is certainly valid, a longer season. But it's a distant concession if you will, to a longer, earlier, "Trad" season.
B. I don't want semi's in big game season. Semi shotgun in big game (Turkey) seems good enough.
C. I'm fine with allowing smallgame hunters run through "Deer" season.

So a week ago you said you wanted some more time in the late flintlock season and said you would send a communication in support of along with myself. Now you want to change course and ignore the ask in the late season? This is what you said a week ago;

Relax there, my brother from a Beaver County ? mother. I mean, I certainly wouldn't poo-poo the notion of getting added time to late flinter. Last week, you mentioned a Saturday washout. Which came true by the way. I mentioned the fact that archery got a Sunday, and the ZERO impactful Flint season got NADA by way of Sunday. And it would have been nice to have another weekend option (Sunday) in the case that Saturdays are a wash. You ran with soliciting the wisdom of the BOC for a longer Flint season. Well, I'm certainly game. lol But, in the spirit of your ask, I will certainly add a "conceding" request at the end of my email, in the event that in all their wisdom, they will not consider an early "Trad" season. I will ask they consider an extension to the zero impactful, and lowly flintlock season.

Silly Fleroo. We don't have a "Flintlock Season". We have a "Late Season". Which of course, includes our archer brethren.

And Ridge. I'm not much of a "shaker and mover". You most certainly are. And it's commendable that you try and organize for your cause(s), like x-bow inclusion. It works sometimes ?
That said. These dolts (BOC) are appointed because they are supposed to have the acumen, and foresight, to make proper game management decisions. And also to gauge the inequities that may exist in game management. I guess I rely too heavily on their ability to do just that, without Fleroo's added wisdom. lol

Might want to wait until next year to submit those wish list. Looking more and more likely there won’t even be a meeting this January. Aren’t going to have enough commissioners to have a quorum. No meeting no changes from this year, everything except dates and number of doe licenses remains the same.

This is the honest to pete truth. The last legal buck that I've seen on late flintlock season, was one I missed in 1999. It was a 6 point (illegal in 2A now since I'm including brow) standing broadside at 15 yards. Ye ol' flinter went clickity-click twice, and on the 3rd try, it hang-fired causing me to dip the barrel, and I missed low. That said, I hunt flintlock on average, 6-7 days of the season. I take all Fridays off to hunt, and sometimes the holidays afford me a day off on another week day. I'll also include the years I harvested a buck in rifle, yet went flinter to look for an antlerless. I have not seen a legal buck even in those years. It is incredibly obvious to me, how vastly different the hunting pressure differs here in Eastern Washington County, as compared to most others. Even you Ridge, hunting on the Western side of the county, and Beaver/Allegheny areas. Doug states he rarely sees hunters yonder Clearfield County, and surrounding areas. The Bradford boys that cut-n-run, would have tales of pooshing out 20 BUCK on some days in flintlock. We have EXTREME pressure here starting with the 1st day of stick-n-string. We here in Eastern Wash. Co., are the poster child for 2.5 MAYBE 3.5 yr. old buck being harvested year after year. Why ? Because nearly all legal buck are whacked between archery and rifle, and the reload for next year are the 1.5 yr olds gaining their 1st rack. Of course there are some outliers that make it through to become those nice 18-20" buck that Fleroo never sees. But not the norm at all. My GUESS is this is all due to Eastern Washington County not being that hard to "hunt". I quote hunt, because what we do here could only very loosely be called hunting. Our landscape is dotted with "Farmettes". EVERY one of these small parcels are hit hard during the seasons. The deer are constricted to say the least. And even though there are posters all over, those places are reserved for family and friends, and hunted very, very hard. That's Fleroo's story and he's sticking to it. ...... And WHY THE $#%^ does Fleroo always refer to himself in the 3rd person ? What a head case.

Yes, but they will still be short by January 28 unless they fill one more seat. Mitrick and Knick are on 6 month extensions which will be up January 17th, and the district 8 seat remains vacant.
