Well, this isn't the fancy flier they usually have but it's a flyer about the show non-the-less. Hopefully these shows and events will start back up this year.

I'm going to try to make it to this show on Friday. Might have a little weather to contend with. This will be the last year the show will be held at the Country Cupboard due to their going out of business. I understand that between the loss of bus tour traffic, lack of help and ever increasing cost of food it's just become too hard to maintain the bottom line. Hence their closing. I have been informed that the organizers for the show are close to signing a contract on another venue for next year. Where, I don't know but I may have some info after Friday.

The Country Cupboard was our regular stop when going to L-Burg. Gonna miss it. They've been packed to the walls ever since they announced the upcoming closing.

My friend and I just got home from the show. Temperature started out at 37 at 6:00 AM and and kept falling to 29 at the show. Roads were fine. Weather was keeping the attendance down but it will bounce back tomorrow I'm sure. It sleeted while we were in the show and after a nice lunch, we started home. Roads were cleared and the temperatures actually rising where they were falling on the way up. Roads were just wet below Selinsgrove to home.
As I stated, the crowds were non-existent and it was nice to view everything the vendors had without rubbing shoulders. Worked our way around the rooms and was pleasantly surprised to see a big smile come over Wayne Estes' face when he saw us. I couldn't believe he remembered us from his barbeque shindig in Lexington, Kentucky last August the night before the Contemporary Longrifle Show. When I went back to wish Wayne safe travels home, I asked if he'd mind if I stuck my finger in a couple bores. He just laughed and said "Go right ahead!" (That's a pet pieve with Wayne and a few other gunsmiths) It's great to see and renew friendships made over the years. This is one of my favorite shows.
