Took my youngest daughter and her friend out this weekend to Seneca in Ohio and had a great weekend catching catfish. Caught 32 on Saturday and 12 on Sunday. Action was hot on Saturday in the morning as we caught 18 in the first 3 hrs. Fished about 7-7.5 hrs each day. Biggest fish was a 15 lb blue that my daughter's friend caught on Sunday. Pretty good size as they just introduced blues there a few years ago. I had some double hook rigs and on Saturday she actually caught 2 on the same line. I even caught a few by accident when reeling in lines as a couple of small one's happened to be on there. Looks like you are getting pretty serious with your catfishing. Are you anchoring up or drift fishing for them? Cut bait?

Looks like you are getting pretty serious with your catfishing. Are you anchoring up or drift fishing for them? Cut bait? Dragging baits with the trolling motor. Using planer boards on some to get them spread out. Try to keep my speed at about 0.5mph. Using cut bluegill, skipjack, and strawberry chicken.

My good buddy has a pond that is "silt" heaven. On a day like today you might be able to see 6" into the water. After a hard rain......maybe 2". But this pond is full of carp and catfish. The catfish run 6" at best and I can only assume this is because of food source. Welp, it's taken some time to find out what kind of bait to use.....but finally a 50\50 mix of corn meal and flour, with a pack of koolaid, and a dash of vanilla extract will land 'em. Gotta put the dough ball 6"-8" down from a bobber.....or all you will catch is catfish. These carp swim the top water in search of algae to eat. Anyway......finally figured it out:
