Ok...no one ever owned one or has no knowledge of Mauser rifles.
How about this......has anyone here recently added any firearms to their collection??
If that doesn't get a rise.....I will need to resort to post-up a Trumpty Dumpty post which will certainly get dem keyboards a clickin!! LOL

I have no experience with Mauser's Loggy. My only Mauser is my 1915 Swedish Mauser that actually shoots pretty accurately with my handloads and open sights.
Probably my only concern would be the type of plastic stock they come with. I have a Savage with the accustock in a synthetic stock that is great. OTOH, I once had a Stevens in .308 with a plastic stock that had a lot of "flex" in the stocks forend.
But for the price and for a starter rifle, seems like a pretty good deal!!
FWIW

I bought a new Ruger Compact a few months ago. Have not shot it yet. I need to get reloading for it.

My grandfather shot a Mauser in 06. Does the job like any other would. My brother now has it and you always know when he shoots it just by the sound.

FWIW That's what I read in one review.....they come with a cheap "tupperware class" line stock. As far as action & accuracy...pretty good reports.

I had a Stevens in .308 that I paid like $250 out the door.....brand new....and it shot sub-MOA. Accuracy trumps pretty any day of the week. The kid can bang and "beat" (aka hunt hard) the rifle and if he likes, he could replace the stock in the future....like when he gets a job...!!
