Took the 3 grandson's out this am for just about 1.5 hours. 8yo, 6yo, 5yo. All caught bluegill BUT....the oldest one hooked on a 9" bass. His first "real" fish. It was a great morning!

Maybe the only fish that are still being caught are suckers and the ones who refuse to wear mask?

I get what you're saying. That's cool. But... a fileted, breaded, pan fried bluegill, is better than any freshwater Bass.. save for a Crappie.

I made it clear up front that this was a "catch 'n release" trip. They really enjoyed it. My one grandson got his first "dorsal fin stab" from releasing a bluegill. You can warn and warn and warn.......but when you get "stuck" you suddenly become real careful how to handle 'em!!!

I took plenty of fins to the palm in my days. I swear the catfish have poison in that "sticker", but I'm sure the aftermath pain is simply bacteria induced.
